Just to whet appetites

Here's a photo from the camping holiday to tide you over until I get chance to upload them all. You've gotta love Lara's hat!

Lara Weight Update

Olga took Lara to be weighed today (the weather wasn't very nice last week for the walk there and back). The little podgy one has weighed in at 15lbs exactly (6.8kg) today, still above average for her age. I just hope that means she's going to be tall!
She's sleeping better, she's getting closer to waking up at 6am now rather than 5am. She has taken to sticking her arms or legs (not just her hands or feet) through the bars of her cot now, she literally had both her lowers legs hanging out of the cot when I went to get her this morning!

It's that time of year again - the Reading Beer Festival

Yep, tonight is the annual office night out to the Reading Beer Festival (http://www.readingbeerfestival.org.uk/), time for me to add another glass to my collection. It's strictly a boys night tonight, but it's "Family Day" on Sunday so everyone's going then. Lara attended Family Day last year but no-one knew about it, but we'll count this as her first one.

The football - oh well, never mind

There was an upside from the Liverpool match last night - I found out our local pub, the Wendover Arms, must be under new ownership and, far from being turned into flats, is being turned into a nice pub. They have Sky (albeit I'm not convinced it's the "Pub-legal" type) and they almost had Marlow's Rebellion beer (it had run out).
I dashed down there after the end of Normal Time to watch Extra Time; I wouldn't have minded really if Lampard had scored the winner, but that blinking Drogba had to have the last word, didn't, although I will admit that both his goals were well taken. Lampard deserves to be in the Final after taking that penalty after the week he's had, and I'll be supporting Chelsea in the Final - I couldn't support ManU against another English club, could I? And then at least we'd have been beaten by the team that won the competition!
There's always next season...

Lack of updates!

I know, I know!! I've not told the story of the camping trip yet, or put the photos up. I will! The jist is that I camped with Mishka in our new tent on last Sunday night, while Olga & Lara stayed in a pub, but then we all camped on the Monday night, without any dramas. The weather was actually lovely, if a little cold in the middle of the night.

What else? The cricket season started for me today, we had an intra-club game at Littlewick Green and the team I was on won, which is a good start to the season.

I'm working in London on Monday and Tuesday of this week, which will keep the blog posts down to a minimum too, but I'm babysitting for Lara on Wednesday afternoon so hopefully I'll get the photos and maybe even a video uploaded then.

Be patient! :-)
